PXI 8170 - maximum ram

We're using an old PXI 8170 controller (Pentium 3) running Windows XP and LabVIEW 8.2. It has the "maximum" 256MB of ram that the manual says it supports but we'd desperately like to give it more memory. Does anyone know if it will recognise and use more memory if we were to try adding more?

Hi,

Apologies for the short answer.  Yes the PXI-8170 is limited to a maximum of 256MB RAM.

Best regards,

Hi, did you find any solution?

Depending on just how desperate you are there is a 256meg chip (Micron MT16LSDF3264HG-10EE4) that will work but it is too tall for the slot so will need alternative fixing I am currently running 392Meg (256+128) and am looking for more sticks.

This is a  PXI-8170 I believe 2000 production date.
