PXI error Insufficient location information

We have an HP EliteBook 8740w laptop (Windows 7) connected to a PXI chassis, via IExpressCard, using an NI PXI-8360 in slot 0. Using Measurement & Automation Explorer we can see the 8360 and the PXI chassis, but are unable to see any of the other cards plugged into the PXI chassis.  We saw, once, an error in M&A that stated, for slot 2, VISA Resource = PXI7::15::INSTR (sTATUS=eRROR 0xBFFF0011 : Insufficient location information.

Hi Jim,

Did you identify the controller as “external PC” and identify your chassis in MAX? What cards do you have plugged into your computer? Do you see them in MAX? In Device Manager?
