I'm currently a student and I'm trying to configure the devices that are placed in a PXI chassis (a PXI-1044 witch has the falowing DAQ modules: PXI-6238, PXI-6514, PXI-6704)
I've downloaded and installed NI-DAQmx from http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/1444/lang/en , I've also installed CVI and NI LabWindowsTM/CVI Real-Time Module 9.0
I've configured the PXI target using MAX and I've installed real time software on the PXI target.
The next step would be to install the drivers for the DAQ modules on the PXI target using MAX. The only problem is that I can't find the drivers for the modules when I try to add new software on the PXI using MAX. In NI-DAQmx readme it says that the drivers for those modules are included in DAQmx but I can't find them.
Is there something else that I need to install?

To make sure things are installed properly, this is the proper order:
1) Install CVI & CVI Real-Time
2) Install NI-DAQmx onto host computer
3) Connect and configure PXI RT controller
4) Install software and drivers to your PXI RT controller
It sounds like you've made it to step 4. You can find instructions to do this here: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/D170D1AF82303EA086256B4200780579?OpenDocument
