Resource Conflict while inserting a new PXI Card on PXI-1045

Hi NI,

I have having Resource Conflict on PCI Motherboard while trying to install a new PXI into Chassis PXI-1045.

My systems are as below:

Phoenix BIOS

NI-VISA: 4.1

MAX:4.2

LabView 8.2

Controller: PXI-8186

Resource Conflict error shown up upon BIOS bootup. Only pressing <F1> for resume.

Checking at Device Manager showing the OS are able to detect the PXI card installed and working properly. It also showed the IRQ and Memory Range.

However, when i launch the MAX, i noticed that There is exclamation mark under PXI System (NI PXI-8186) tree as "PXI4::12::INSTR.

Device Status wrote:

VISA returned this device when finding resources, and MAX could use VISA to parse the resource name. MAX could not succesfully open an VISA session to the device.

Clicking on Troubleshoot wrote:

Device Missing Functionality

Clicking on Open VISA Test Panel wrote:

Unable to open session to "PXI4::12::INSTR"

Return status code: 0xBFFF0000

Status name: VI_ERROR_SYSTEM_ERROR

Unknown system error(miscellaneous error).

Tried taking out all other PXI card with just the intended PXI card inserted also seeing this resource conflict.

What is the problem card model, and try changing slot solve the problem?

I just got a replacement card. Changing the new card solved the resource issue conflict. Thansk Kate!
