I'm using a HP Compaq Core 2 Duo dc5700 microtower with LabView 8.5 with MAX4.3.0f0 and MXI-3 Version 1.15 I have an 8330 card in my PC PCI bus cabled out to the companion 8330 PXI card in an NI PXI-1024 Chassis slot 1 Also in slot 3 of that chassis is an NI-PXI6025E Multi I?O card which in turn goes to an SCXI 1349 in the back of an SCXI-1000 Chassis. This chassis is populated in slots 1 and 2 with SCXI-1102 modules which are then accessorized with SCXI-1303 screw terminal modules. When MXI-3 runs it creates the following log;

Also I see activity on the TX RX LEDs (on 8330 MXI-3) while booting and occasionally while idle also the POWER and Link green LEDs are on. It appears all hardware is powered up (i.e. no blown fuses).
So it looks to me like the PCI slot card is recognized. I can tell MAX that the 1024 is on Bus 7 and that the PXI system is Identified as External PC. I can configure the SCXI-1000 in MAX as described above however I can not seem to establish the link between the PXI-1024 and the SCXI-1000. When I configure the SCXI-1000 modules in MAX the Connected to dropdown is only populated with None and the check box for This device controls the chassis is grayed out, but checked, for all module slots. I've been spinning my wheels on this setup for days now and could really use some help. This exact setup was working fine several months ago however the PC we were using died so I've had to set this up on a new PC, but it has been a struggle thus far. Any insight you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
