Hello TomMex,
Thanks for posting. If what you are looking for are suggestions for how to use your PXI controller in regards to some of the issues you mentioned, then here are my suggestions. For networking purposes, you can consider your PXI controller the same as any other computer; you should be able to connect it to your network just fine and it will be able to see other computers and devices that are on the same subnet. Antivirus software in general should be fine for your system until you want to install new NI software, at which point you may want to disable it to avoid issues during installation. Does this answer your question? Let me know, thanks!
Regards,
Joe S.

Thanks for your fast response.
I can understand that the PXI controller is like any standard computer, but since most of the times this controller is running critical tasks, What is the best practice and most common? Isolated, available on the network?
Thanks

Hi TomMex,
The concept of "best practices" for a PXI system is a wide topic and largely dependent on the situation. The real question here is, what is your controller being used for and are there any special concerns or considerations that are working with? Does it need to be connected to a network, does it need antivirus software, are there issues that you have identified and are worried about with your application, and so on? With that information, it will be more possible to provide suggestions that will accomplish what you are looking for. Let us know, thanks!
Regards,
Joe S.
