Hello, I was using measurement and automation to simulate a new device. I could not find NI PXI-5421 which is an AWG in the list. How do I add that to the list?

Hi,

Doing this will allow you to simulate the device from within LabVIEW.  It will not give you access to this piece of hardware as if it was in MAX however.

Is there a way to add the NI-5421 to the simulated NI-DAQmx device or Modular Instrument menu in the measurement and automation explorer?

Hi,

You unfortunately cannot add the NI-5421 to the simulated NI-DAQmx menu.  You can only simulate this device in LV.
