pxi rf preamplifier ?

Hi all
Who knows if there is some PXI rf preamplifier or if NI is planning to build it up for its RF PXI 5660?
For some measurements, a PXI card with preamplifiers and switches will be very useful.

Hello,
National, Instruments does not offer a PXI based pre-amplifier. I also am not personally aware of anyone that does.

Hello,
National Instruments will soon be offering a single slot, PXI based RF preamplifier with two channels. If these channels are hooked together in series, you should see about 30-35 dB of gain. This would enable you to measure signals as low as -150 dBm. The pre-amp should be available sometime in Q3 2005. The PXI preamp will integrate seamlessly with the National Instruments RF platform, including the PXI-5660 RF Vector Signal Analyzer, and PXI-5670 and PXI-5671 RF Vector Signal Generators. The preamp will also be able to be used stand-alone.

Thanks,
Andy
