Hi,
We have a cRIO-based system in service offshore (i.e. not accessible to experiment on). It is a cRIO-9048 and it hosts a SVE (Shared Variable Engine) which serves NPSVs (Network Published Shared Variables) to a remote UI via a 3G/4G mobem connected to one of the Ethernet Ports. That all works fine. A modification is needed that requires a new device to be connected to the cRIO's second Ehernet Port and also get access to the NPSVs. We've no prior experience with using the second Ethernet port on a cRIO, so just wondering if there is some showstopper with doing this or if it will work just the same as the first Ethernet Port.
Thanks,

Dear Andy,
No answer here, I was just wondering whether you figured out how to deal with the second Ethernet port. I am currently working on a project with an old 9074 and I am having a hard time connecting a Raspberry Pi5 to the second port of the cRIO.
Any help is appreciated! thanks
Marco

I can't remember if we progressed this - but have a vague memory that the customer requirements "went away" in the end. I do remember that there are some limitations with the second ethernet port. If you do a search you can find some posts on these forums about the second Ethernet port:
These may help or at least be a starting point
