Using cRIO-9004 Module with NI Motion

Hello, I have tried to search the knowledge base and have not found anything which indicates a solution to my problem.

I am currently using the NI cRIO-9004 Real-Time Controller with the crIO-9104 chassis and the NI9505 I/O Module to try to control a servo motor using LabVIEW. However, I am unsure how to synchronise the RT and FPGA based VIs I have built without the NI Scan Engine. Are you able to direct me to information on another synchronisation method as the 9004 does not support the NI Scan Engine. It occurs that the Axis I have use also requires this Scan Engine. Am I unable to use an axis without the Scan Engine?

Secondly, am I able to use the function blocks without the Scan Engine and with my current hardware?

Thanks for any help you are able to offer me.

Rustawilliams-

By simply creating your VI and deploying it to your controller, it will synchronize these values automatically.

What Axis are you referring to that requires Scan Engine?

The functions available to use on FPGA are limited.  When you create a VI under your FPGA, it will remove unsupported functions from your functions palette automatically.  Therefore, it a function is present in these palettes, it will work correctly on your FPGA.
