What does Labview FPGA error -61024 mean?

1. I have successfully compiled a Labview module to a FPGA bitstream. Target is PXI-7831R
2. I verified the bitstream is embedded in the Labview module using Bitstream Manager 2.0.
3. I configure "Open FPGA VI Reference" function to use this Labview module and to target the PXI-7831R device in my system.
4. I execute the "Open FPGA VI Reference" function and it returns error -61024 which means that the device type configured in the function does not match the actual type of the device. Note, this function has worked in the past after clicking "Refresh.." in the "Open FPGA VI Reference" context menu, but now the function always returns this error.
5. I verified that the PXI-7831R device is functioning properly in the system using MAX.

Hello,

Does it happen with this VI only, or with any FPGA VI?
Do you have only one FPGA board or multiple 7831R?
If you use External Visa Resource name, does it happen the same thing?

Did anyone ever resolve this issue. I have the exact same problem.

Thanks,
Tony

Yes,
Download NI-RIO driver ver 1.3 from NI and install. That cleared my problems and the Labview RIO functions perform as expected.

The NI-RIO driver ver 1.2 gave me limited success, but completely stopped working after upgrading other drivers from the NI Drivers disks.
