does the labview gui still open, sounds like you deleted temp files and it can link to the vi's related to the program ur building. once the vi is loaded go through all sub vi's click on them once and locate them for labview on your system.next time around it will no were they are stored.

You could try holding left alt key and tab together to flick through the running applications in case the labview window has been pulled below the task bar or off screen.Another thig to do would be to do a complete uninstall and reinstall. also note that you have any popup blockers running they miight be causing problem so disable them while trying to get it running.

yes dont repair the software do a complete remove and reinstall, let is install under typical installation dont try customise it see what happens.you could also note the file it is misssing in the error message , locate it yourself and stick a copy of it in both labview folder and windows system32 folder.A complete reinstall should work though, if its still giving trouble do the reinstall in safe mode.

Hello

I bought a lock in amplifier two years ago but I have not installation CD. I have download the driver for my SR530 lock in amlpifier at ni´s driver (sr530 and sr560 drivers), and I have a problem with communication between lock in and PC.
All Labview program is supported by GBIP connection. I want to use rs 232 serial port. I watched installation demo but my program didnot undertake sr530 sub-connected instruments file for installation.
Normally PC is recognize lock in via hyper terminal. But labview is not.
Thank you in advices for help.

If you can talk to your device in hyperterminal then you should definitely be able to talk to it through LabVIEW. The driver you have is designed for GPIB, but you should be able to make some minor modifications to it to have it run in serial. You'll just need to go in and edit a few of the VIs so that they're not setting GPIB properties and set properties for your serial card (including baud rate, parity, etc...). You could also start from scratch if it's pretty basic commands you're sending to the device.

Let us know which method you'd like to use, and how much help you need in that area.
