using both speedy 33 and nxt in the same VI?

Hi all,

I am trying to create a VI, where I can use either Speedy 33 or NXT. Does anybody know if it is ever possible to use Speedy-33 and NXT in the same VI?
I am planning to choose either one of them in a simple case structure.

Thanks so much for your comments!

ps: sorry if this is not the appropriate board. If so, please suggest in which board I can post this message.

Hi casiopea,

When toeing the line on between subjects, it is recommended you just use your best judgement and post to the most appropriate board. Your choice of boards is correct, so no worries.

While I have not yet tried this with NXT, my immediate feeling is the SPEEDY-33 functions are not available to NXT and vice-versa. When you use LabVIEW to create a DSP project, VIs targeted to the SPEEDY-33 have a limited functions palette. NXT VIs are not included and, therefore, cannot be compiled for the hardware.

It appears that you will have to create two separate VIs for this application.

Cheers.

Thanks so much for your reply.  I was thinking if I really asked a very though specific question.  🙂

I guess I should have been a little bit clearer in the first place as well. My purpose is as follows. I want to create a main VI, this will include a selection for two separate VIs, which I am fine, if one of which is selected in the main VI, the selected VI, say it is NXT based, will use  NXT, and if the other of which is selected it will run the on the Speedy-33. I was wondering if such thing would be possible to implement.

Thanks so much for your comments in advance again!
