Can I use the SCC-FT01 to collect temp data

I found some SCC-FT01 unit in my lab.  I need to collect some temp data, but I'm not sure if this is my best choice...
I used in the past the SCC-TC02, but I just trying to save some $$$ and use what I have...
Thanks!

Hello lirano,

The SCC-TC02 is specifically designed for signal conditioning for temperature measurements. The SCC-FT01 is a feedthrough module. It connects directly to the
analog input (AI) and analog output (AO) channels of a data acquisition (DAQ) device. You can use the breadboard area of the SCC-FT01 to develop custom signal-conditioning circuitry that can connect to and condition any of the analog, digital (P0.), and general-purpose counter/timer (CTR) channels of E Series DAQ devices. Take a look at the User Guide for more information on the part.

You can use the SCC-FT01 to make temperature measurements, but you will not have the same signal conditioning capabilities and the CJC for better accuracy on your measurements.
