There are a couple of different options for your application. When deciding which DAQ board to use, it will probably be based on the accuracy of the signal. A normal DAQ (M-Series) board will allow you to output a sine wave or tone.
However, I would recommend the PCI-4461 which has two simultaneous output channels with a 24 bit DAC at 204.8kS/s. I am assuming because you are dealing with the human ear that you will probably not go above 20kHz. This board will give you better accuracy when creating your tone compared to a regular M-Series board. You might also consider the sound and vibration toolkit.
Once the output signal is created, you can send it to a speaker. Depending on how load you want the signal, you might consider an amplifier.
