Hello,

There are a couple of different options for your application.  When deciding which DAQ board to use, it will probably be based on the accuracy of the signal.  A normal DAQ (M-Series) board will allow you to output a sine wave or tone.

However, I would recommend the PCI-4461 which has two simultaneous output channels with a 24 bit DAC at 204.8kS/s.  I am assuming because you are dealing with the human ear that you will probably not go above 20kHz.  This board will give you better accuracy when creating your tone compared to a regular M-Series board. You might also consider the sound and vibration toolkit.

Once the output signal is created, you can send it to a speaker.  Depending on how load you want the signal, you might consider an amplifier.
