SCXI 1000 configuration with SCXI 1200 controller and serial communication

Hello
I have a SCXI-1000 chasis controlled by SCXI-1200, I have also SCXI 1102 module with SH96-96 connected to SCXI 1303 Terminal Block.
I have also SCXI-2400 to enable comport communication with PC.
My PC operates in Win 98,
Questions:
When I launsh NI MAX 3.0.1 and try to configure SCXI configuration , I couldn't add the controller, and the other modules in both LPT connection and serial connection. When I double click on Device and interfaces and select "create new" a panel asking for slection of slot number and chasis id appears. Below the panel there is a radio button for MAX to aouto detect the modules.
When I click on "save" . It says Please pick controller. That is the description of problem.
Can anyone let me know what the probable reason is.
With those HW.
1-What should be the version of NI DAQ driver software .
2-Which steps should I follow up.

Thanks

Hello Salih. Thank you for contacting National Instruments. The first thing that I would like to point out is that MAX 3.0.1 is not compatible with the SCXI 2400 and SCXI 1200. This probably means that you have the wrong version of NI-DAQ as well. Go to Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and remove MAX and NI-DAQ. Next, go to ni.com/support and click on Drivers and Updates. Product Line: Multifunction DAQ, Software: NI-DAQ, Software Version: 6.9.3, Operating System: Windows 98. This version of NI-DAQ will install the correct version of MAX.

After you have the correct version of MAX and NI-DAQ, open up MAX. Right click on Devices and Interfaces and add the SCXI chassis. To add the modules, right click on the Module and select "insert". Make sure that SCXI 2400 is in slot 1. After everything is setup in MAX, right click on the chassis and select test. This will tell you if you have configured everything properly.

I ran into a problem with this setup. If I used the SCXI 1200, I couldn't get everything to work properly. However, if I just took it out and used the SCXI 2400, SCXI 1102, and SCXI 1303 everything worked how it was supposed to. I hope this helps! Have a great day!

Hello Marni
Thank you for your information.
I had to test the functionality of my configuration . I did followings and it worked.
First I inserted SCXI 1200 into the chasis, I tried to add it from Settings>control panel>add/remove hardware>...I added SCXI 1200. Then I opened NI MAX (version NIDAQ 6,9,3) Fromm tools>NI DAQ configurations>create new configuration> ... I saved existing configuration and new MAX panel appeared with SCXI 1200 under devices and interfaces. Then I became successfull in adding all modules and SCXI into the slots, I tested it via diagnostics and via giving voltage to SCXI 1200.

It worked. Thank you.

Now I need to calibrate both SCXI 1200 and SCXI 1202 with SCXI 1303 connector block.
I need some calibration software. I will write this request to FORUM also.
Please reply If you can help me .

Thank you and best regards
