Novice that is Starting to Evaluate as ATE add-on

I am the CTO of a company that is starting to evaluate PXI as an add on capabilty for an existing ATE platform. No specific application identified yet but would like to discuss what we are getting into. Most of the question will be in the SW area (the ATE SW runs under Windows/XP).

Anyone liek to take the opportunity to refelect their wisdom in this area?

That's great that your considering the PXI platform. PXI is both a high-performance and low-cost deployment platform for measurement and automation systems. It makes it very easy to create automated test equipment. It is a rugged standalone computer system that is easily programmed to make very accurate measurements. PXI provides a great deal of flexibility since it is modular and you can change your system by just plugging in new cards.

Below are two great links that should help you get started learning about the PXI platform. If you have any more questions you can either post them on the discussion forums or feel free to call National Instruments at (888)280-7645 to speak with a sales representative.
