I am an intership student and tomorrow is my last day. Unfortunately, after that I do not think that anyone at my office will continue on with this discussion. I apologize for starting a question and then leaving. After tomorrow, I will check back and try and answer any questions you have so that this thread might be helpful to someone else, but I will not be able to test anything beyond tomorrow. Again sorry and thank you for all of you help.

I was looking around the C drive and I found a folder named C:\Program Files\National Instruments
In that folder there is a "MAX" folder and a "Shared" folder. Could this be confusing the installation of the SignalExpress add-on?

Hi Robert,
First of all, I'm sorry that we couldn't get things working for you before your last day!
The only way the installation of the add-on might have been confused is if SignalExpress is actually installed to your C Drive in that MAX\Assistants folder. Meaning that I'm wondering if you also have a "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MAX\Assistants\SignalExpress" folder as well as the one on your E Drive. If you do, and SignalExpress is running from that location, then yes, the add-on would have been installed in the wrong location. Perhaps you can check that.
The second question I would have IF the above is true is: "How did you end up with a SignalExpress folder on your E Drive?"
Good luck after your internship!

Nope, there isnt an "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\MAX\Assistants\SignalExpress" folder. I think those files are there because I started the installation on the C drive before realizing that there wasnt enough room. Then I installed everything on the E drive. So I dont think that that is the problem, but I am not sure. But as this is my last day, I will not have a chance to figure it out. If they ask about looking into this more themselves then I will point them in the direction of this thread, but it is not a very high priority. Thanks for all of you help.

I did a test and changed the folder name in the C drive and SignalExpress would not open. So I did a search for the word "SignalExpress" on my C drive and it found .dlls and license files in the folders "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\License Manager\Bin" and "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\License Manager\Licenses respectively". I am assuming that there is some dependance on the C drive that causes the fix to be done in the wrong place. I suppose uninstalling SignalExpress and reinstalling would work, is that correct? I dont think I will be able do it anyway, but it would be good to have the info here in case someone else runs into this problem.
Thanks.

Robert,
That's very possible that un-installing and re-installing SE would work. I wonder if perhaps you aborting the first installation caused some issues.
