Hi SPM Man,
I've been looking into your issue and have some other questions for you. First, when you go to Tools»Options, what are your settings as shown below:
As well, can you post screen shots of what your palettes actually look like? Finally, did the last re-install that Ben had you do work?
This isn't something I've ever seen before, so I'm just trying to get an much info as possible. Thanks!

The settings are the same though I don't have the Show Connections Diagram option (I don't have LabView installed on this laptop). After uninstalling all of the NI stuff, installing SE v 3.0 and the devide driver pack that came with it, I installed SE 2009 and got the following palette:
This seems to be the full palette (I think earlier versions of SE had a Analog and a Digital root menu). Looks like this did the trick (not to install only the SE 2009 disk). The words "upgrade only" on the SE 2009 DVD would have saved me a few days of installing/removing. Thanks for your help.

Hello:
I have/had the same problem.
We have purchased a USB 6229 board. I recently have taken over this device and had the licenses transfered to me.
When I installed the software I would also only have the "Aquire Signal" or "Generate Signal". I could not get the "Create signal" which I would have thought was imperitive to the "Generate Signal" as one won't work without the other.
I have been able to turn on the unlicenesed options and I can now see a full list of steps.
How can I tell what steps are included in the licenses that we have paid for and which ones are not?
Chris

Hello Chris,
There are differences between available features in SignalExpress and SignalExpress Limited Edition, which could be the cause of what you are seeing. If you have questions about your specific licenses that you purchased, you can call NI's customer service. With your serial number, they should be able to give more information about what sofware (and version of SignalExpress) is linked to your serial number. Thanks!

Has anyone been able to resolve this issue? I am running the full version of SE 2011 and have not been able to view the full list in the "Add Step" palette, either. The only options available to me are the Acquire and Generate options. I will go ahead and try to uninstall the software and do a new installation, however if anyone has a solution I would appreciate any information that can be provided.
Kind Regards,
Brian

"I couldn't get rid of the 30-day trial expired lockout (even though I have the full version installed and registered)."

So, when you go to the License Manager the you still see that expired license at the menu? I would assume is a license conflict that can be solve by following the steps shown in here. I would focus on the steps for older versions, go to the system folder and eliminate the license file that is creating the conflict from the computer. I hope this helps
