Why cant a shared variable be viewed as a chart in SignalExpress

In SignalExpress I add a step to read a shared variable. I can view it in Graph mode but not Chart mode. Can somebody explain why that is? Am I doing something wrong?

What is the data type of your shared variable?

It is possible to view a numeric as a chart or graph, but when dealing with waveforms, the graph option is the only one available (either XY or Waveform Graphs). I attached some screenshots of what I believe you are seeing to confirm that this is expected behavior.

Is there a reason you want to use Chart Mode?

I found the problem was the data type. Signalexpress wont view array of double as chart.
