load cell scaling

i am using kistler load cell with range 1.11kN and sensitivity 4 mV/N.i have problem in creating the custom scaling.can u tell me based on the above values i have mentioned what will be the slope i have to give in linear scale.i am using NI 9215 with BNC DAQ.i have done experiment but the problem as soon as i start the experiment without any load it is showing 200N of load.how to overcome with this problem.

Is your load cell pre-conditioned or are you trying to condition it through the 9251? If it's pre conditioned and you're just using a voltage output as your load signal I'd just create a map range. If the output is +/-10v full-scale this should be proportional to the full-scale of the load cell which in your case is 1.11kN (250lb)

I'm not too familiar with the CompactRIO devices but based on the specs of your 9251 it seems this is a voltage device and not a bridge device. Sounds like you need external conditioning.
