Is it possible to access the ports on the NI 8 channel serial board through COM ports on a PC?

I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to connect a serial connection between the COM ports on a PC and the port on one of the 8 channel NI boards. Please let me know if it's possible and what i need to do to go about accessing the ports in this way.

I am not sure I understand what you are asking. Could you please provide more information about what you are trying to accomplish. The serial ports on the NI RS-232 Boards basically work like the serial port on your computer for the most part. Which of the NI serial boards are you using? With more detail, I can help out more.
