Non Responsive RIO2

Hello!

I submitted a support request already (02700492). Our RIO2 status light just blinks orange (after the initial boot up, brand new out of the box), and trouble codes suggest that the device needs to be replaced. We've tried to flash the firmware, and get nothing. This is for FRC.

Is there anything that can be done?

Hi nikogevorgian, my name is Jessica, I work at NI.

You can try reimaging the roboRIO SD card: roboRIO 2.0 microSD Card Imaging. Once imaged, reinsert it to the roboRIO and connect it to your computer by USB to set the team number using the roboRIO Imaging Tool. If the device exhibits the same behavior, try a different microSD card.

You can also open the device by removing the cover from the bottom (4 screws) and clean it using compressed air, especially the SD card slot. A continuously flashing Status LED in the roboRIO 2.0 normally indicates the device is not able to boot properly, likely because the SD card is not being read.
