roboRIO status light off, radio not working

We were at competition and the roboRIO 2.0 stopped working. The status light turned off and we were not able to communicate with the robot what soever (even through ethernet). We put the RIO into safe mode but couldn't discover the roboRIO in the imaging tool. We tried on different computers and had the same issue. We had no choice but to replace the RIO with an older one from an old robot.

What can we do to fix it, or does it need repair?

I understand that the roboRIO stopped working during a competition and that the status light is turned off and you are not able to communicate with it.

• When you connect the roboRIO the power led is green?
• When you boot the device, is the status led showing any blinking status and then turning off?

Could you please try the suggestions on this article?

Hello,

Yes we have tried that article. 

The power light is green and that is the only light that turns on. When we put it in safe mode everything appeared to be normal, but we couldn't get the RIO to be discovered by the imaging tools
