UHD for USRP N2920 on Ubuntu 12.10 LTS

Hello Everyone,

With the installation of OpenBTS on Ubuntu 12.10 I am instructed to download the UHD for my USRP version. The installation seems to be unsuccessful, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me why or instruct me to a manual that shows how to install UHD for USRP N2920 on Ubuntu 12.10.

Thank you.

Open BTS and UHD are not offically support on the NI USRP-2920, however I have heard of users that have been successful.

Please visit:

I recommend following the instructions for USRP N210.  Supprt for UHD, Ubuntu, and OpenBTS are all provided by the open source community.

(UHD specific help may be available at support@ettus.com )

Erik I installed UHD for N210, yet I'm getting the following message when writing "uhd_usrp_probe", any idea what is the reason behind this message?

linux; GNU C++ version 4.6.3; Boost_104601; UHD_003.005.004-56-stable

Error: LookupError: KeyError: No devices found for ----->

Hi Tarek,

I had a similar situation. The problem was in connection speed between USRP and my netbook: USRP Ethernet port was working at 1Gbps speed and my netbook LAN card - 10/100Mbps. So I installed a Gigabit Ethernet switch between my netbook and USRP.

I also need to use GNUradio on USRP 2920 on Linux. Can I use LabVIEW(on windows) and GNU radio(on Linux) on USRP 2920 simultaneously using the same FW/FPGA ??

Or do I need a separate USRP 2920 with different FW/FPGA for that ?

 I am using LabVIEW on 2920 on Windows but I wish to use GnuRadio on 2920 on Linux. Any guidance on how to do that would be appreciated.

Regards.
