Hi all,
is there a way to allow VeriStand Workspace's Edit Mode only to Administrator users?
Thanks!

you cannot remove the operator in the "manage user" menu and the only thing you can do is to change the user permission (take a look at the attached image).

From the Project go to Tools>Manage Users. In this dialog you can:
1) Create users and assign them to groups
2) Create groups and assign permissions to the group
You need to have at least one administrator account and as Alex pointed out you can't delete the current user account. So if you don't already have users other than the Administrator user, start by creating additional accounts and assign them to the Operator group. Then click on the operator group and uncheck the permissions that you do not want the Operators to have. The user permission for entering Edit Mode is tied to the "Add Display Items" permission. If you also want to prevent the operators from accessing the Property dialog of the controls (and editing the settings of an existing control) then you can turn off the "Edit Display Items Settings" permission. If you want different operators to have different levels of permission you can create additional groups and assign the users to the different groups.

Hi Alex and Carl,
I am using LV 7.0. I tried creating user accounts and assigning it to Operators group as Carl suggested, but the problem is i m not able to set permisssions for the same.I got the window for editing Group properties but there is no facility to set permissions.
Kindly help me for the same bcoz my requirement is to set user's permission by only administrator login n not by others.

Ratna

Hi Ranta,
This thread is about the user accounts created in NI VeriStand. Judging by your screenshot, it looks like your using the DSC user account manager. I would suggest posting here for answer.
