I'm conducting tests on batteries and i am using multisine signal that i inject into a Tektronix function generator, which serves as the signal generation system in my measurement chain.
My acquisition system is the PXI 6356 card mounted on the 1066DC chassis.
i noticed that there is always a distorsion in my signal when i display it in my acquisition software, which is of course connected to the PXI 6356 card
i think it's a synchronization issue. Can someone help me solve the problem please?
it's urgent!

Your test methodology determines the synchronization needs. Without that information, it is not possible to understand and guide you.
What purpose do the 6356 and AFG1062 serve in your measurement? And how are they related?

in my tests, i am taking real-time measurements of the battery's voltage and current using the NI PXI 6356 acquisition card. the signal i am using is supposed to remain stable trougthout the entre measurement period, but it becomes distorded after an hour
the NI PXI 6356 is used for acquiring current and voltage values, while the AFG 1062 is used to generate te multi-sine signal i used for my tests. ideally, both devices should be synchronized using te same clock reference to maintain synchronization, but it isn't working as expected, and that's why i need help

What kind of reference clock did you connect to PXIe-6356 and AFG 1062? Is it generated from another device? What's the frequency of the reference clock?

i'm using the reference clock of the NI PXIe- 1066DC chassis and the frequency of the reference clock is 10Mhz.

Did you configure your device to use the reference clock?
For PXIe-6356, it would be
For AFG1062, see the user manual

Thank you for proposed response. for the tektronix AFG1062 , i set the external clock reference, and the PXI card is mounted on the PXIe 1066DC chassis , witch provides the clock reference i use, set to 10MHz.

Looks like you got the setting right.
What's the signal distortion you observe? Can you upload the data read by NI-6356 and the setting of AFG1062?

here is also how I connect the clock reference between the NI PXIe 1066DC chassis and my Tektronix AFG 1062 function generator. the photos are also attached.
Can you explain which picture has a clear signal and which one has a distorted signal?
What kind of signal did you generate from the AFG1062?
