Could not initialize USI for Report

I have DiAdem 2012 SP1 installed.  All of a sudden every time i try to open it i get an error message saying  "Could not Initialize USI Report" see attached.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing DiAdem but it made no difference.

I tried following the instructions in this post

http://forums.ni.com/t5/DIAdem/Errorcode-1906/m-p/810319/highlight/true#M9682

but when i double click the URI files i get an error message (attached).  My URI's are also in C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\USI\Bin since i am on a 64 bit.

I have Windows 7 64bit, LV2013 and a lot of other NI software installed.

Looks like there is something wrong or missing in your installation.

Can you please check usiReg.exe for missing dependencies as described below:

1. Download and unzip Dependency Walker: http://www.dependencywalker.com/depends22_x86.zip

2. Start Dependency Walker and open usiReg.exe: C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\USI\Bin\usiReg.exe

3. Save the Dependency Walker Image and post it here or attach a screenshot of the module tree

Thanks a lot for the images. My best guess is that the 32bit and 64bit binaries are mixed.

Can you please post the content of two registry keys as follows:

1. Open regedit

2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\National Instruments\Common\Installer\

3. Post the content of NISHAREDDIR64

4. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\National Instruments\Common\Installer\

5. Post the content of NISHAREDDIR

The NISHAREDIR64 Contenets are

C:\Program Files\National Instruments\Shared\

I do not have NISHAREDIR in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\National Instruments\Common\Installer

Thanks

That's curious, does the folder itself exist?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\National Instruments\Common\Installer

If yes, can you please post the content as shown in the attached image?

Sorry for the late response. We were trying to reproduce the error without success until now.

Therefore we would like to ask you to perform the following steps:

Check dependencies:

1. Start Dependency Walker and open usiEx.dll: C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\USI\Bin\usiEx.dll

2. Switch on full path (F9) and post the saved Dependency Walker image here.

Check registry entries:

1. Open regedit

2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\National Instruments\Common\USI\

3. Post the content of binDir

4. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\National Instruments\Common\USI\

5. Post the content of binDir

If possible, please post the zipped contents of the USI bin dir:

C:\Program Files (x86)\National Instruments\Shared\USI\bin\

Thanks a lot
