Classmate not able to program.

Hi Meerick,

Can you manually connect to the cRIO from the project in LabVIEW? To do this right click on the cRIO target and select Connect.

If you have successfully connected to the cRIO, you'll notice that the little LED in the icon becomes bright green.

If the icon has the bright green LED, it means that the LabVIEW project is connected to the cRIO and you should be able to deploy your code to it.

Howdy Meerick,

Do you have a startup executable running on the FRC from a previous testing code? If so, the processor may not be yielding enough time to allow connections and redeployment. Try turning on the NO APP switch (switch number 4) on the FRC and hit the reset button. Don't forget to turn of the NO APP switch after the controller resets. After the controller reboots you may be able to deploy your new code to it. If you are, double check your code for infinate loops, bad timing, etc.

Hello,

The one thing that I have not seen us try in this discussion is, have you tried to disable your wireless connection on your classmate.  Sometimes there are issues communicating with a remote system when you have two network cards enables.  This would actually allow you to ping the cRIO but not connect to it.

When you said that you reset the system does that mean that you formatted the cRIO or that you ran the restoration utility on the Classmate?

The other concern that I had was, did you make sure that both the system that works and the Classmate have been completely updated with the latest LabVIEW and Driver Station Updates?

Please let me know if you have any further updates on this and we will be happy to assist you.

Thanks!
