Has anyone been able to get a VEX Ultrasonic Sensor to work in Labview?

I'm one of the mentors for 1319 and we are trying to get a VEX ultrasonic sensor to work on our robot and not having any success.  We are able to ping with a 10us pulse, however, it looks like we are not receiving.  I am open to any ideas on what is needed to get this sensor to work, if it is able to work with Labview.

Thanks,

Scott

Have you tried the ultrasonic example? I used the vex ultrasonic sensor before, but have not tried it this year.

Yes, we are using this year's example. It looks like the receive side is not working.  I don't know if it's a counter issue or what but we hooked up an oscilloscope and can clearly see the ping going out the transmitter, however we are not see any receiving activity.

With the scope, do you see the receive pulse, or only the ping?

Only the pings, there are no receive pulse during the receive period of time on the scope.

It sounds to me like an issue with the sensor if you provide the right ping, but no pulse on the receive line. Do you have something within range for it to detect? Or another sensor?

We verified the sensor is working on a Vex processor from an earlier FTC robot we built.  So it's not the sensor.

You may get a wider audience if you ask at the http://chiefdelphi.com forums.
