E-LIST n°5 - 2006

199 active Enthusiasts last week. Not bad !
The leader trio is the same, but the activity as been increased very significantly : Dennis Knutson (11 r/d). Darren (7.1 r/d) and Tst (6.6 r/d).

Except if he make a strong effort, I'll not be with you to celebrate Rolfk 1000 replies within the next 10 days since this is my last E-List edito for a while : I'm entering again my Indiana Jones period, leaving in a week for the jungles of Laos. I'm quite busy preparing my backpack (checklist, equipment test, last purchases... already a lot of fun !). This does not mean that I'm abandonning LabVIEW, not at all ! I'll have a few proofs of that when I'm back.

Ben has agreed again to take the List burden from my shoulders and keep the List running for a few weeks. I hope he will not turn too much paranoid 😉 with the new forum Terms of Use since "harvesting" informations about others is clearly forbidden.

Keep up the good work. See you next month !

Have a good and safe trip "Dr. Jones",

Hope you run into Syndney Steel (what's her name???) or better yet, Laura C. (aka. Ms Jolie).  🙂

Wow..  I finally beat Jeremy Braden, and now on my way to Al S...  😄

But tst is not beating my "# of breaks"...  Robot Mad

It's a long (LONG) way to go before the third gold bar..  But I'll be content to share the race with buddies like Ray F & tbob..

Happy mountain hopping CC!

JLV, I assume you're talking about Sydney Bristow (although she's not an archeologist) and Lara C (I'm not sure whether she qualifies as an archeologist or a treasure hunter). And even if I pass your number of breaks, I doubt I will pass your 24% breaks. Smiley Very Happy

Charly, I have a question - how does your number of contributions column work?
In JP's case, for instance, it's larger than the NI contribution number (and over 1000, BTW) and in Ed's case it's smaller (their number is 1000 and yours is 891).

So, who's starting the threads for those two? Do we combine it? Do we wait until Rolf joins them?

Naw... they were referring to the 5 true Enthusiasts...  we're just common people...  so we're okay.  😉

Thanks tst for correcting that..  Sydney Bristow

I saw the show only a few times, and didn't pay much attention to who's who..  Actually, the volume was down and the barely clad women caught my glance..  And there was this idiot guy that didn't make me want to subscribe to a daily dose of that show.

24% breaks...  YIKES!!    😮

As for  CC...  I don't think he minds if they are archeologists or hairdressers, as long as he finds them in the mountain..  😄
For those cold winter nights in the caves...  😉

Both numbers are correct : NI contribution number is the total post number; while the E-List reports only the public posts. You probably noticed that Eds works for an Alliance company, and has therefore access to private boards on the NI forum, out of reach of the E-List search program. For JPD, the case is different ; he registered several times, and the E-List is smart enough to manage is different instances.

The "rule" has been to celebrate the 1000 border crossing using the NI reply number. But we could also decide that rule n°1 states that there is no rule n°1, leading to "Happy Non-Birthday" congratulation threads!

I'm not going to climb Lao mountains, I'm going to cut across them, beneath...

And please, don't do these jokes about running into Sydney B or Lara C : my wife is lurking around, and I don't think she would appreciate ! :D:D

And Lao caves are warm, anyway... 😉

Sorry CC,

I thought you were mountain climbing (based on your previous photo).  Caving...  humm.... 😐

At least it's warmer..  and more chances of running into frogs, bats, spiders and other sentionned beings 😉

Let me guess...  a jealous wife???  You mean to tell me that French women are jealous??  😉

But you're used to getting into trouble, aren't you?  😄 😄

You'll have to show us photos..
