E-List

For those that are interested, I will be updating the E-List this week-end after I have the chance to review the results of this week's run.

You're slacking, Ben...

But that's okay... you're still a shinny star (or 5 in this forum)  😉

......... wonder what CC's up to... and if he met the new & improved Lara Croft...

😄

Ok,

I had a nice update to intro the E-List when I realized both Ed Dickens and Rolf went over 1000 postings. By the time I complted the ack posting in the breakpoint my write-up was expired. Smiley Sad

So....

CC should be at his base camp by now.

tst and Christian nudged out Dennis.

Ed and Rolf top 1000.

520 people listed in the e-list.

I'm not sure where you see that Rolf has more than 1000 (it doesn't appear in this sheet, although JP does have more). We had a discussion about this a few posts earlier and we didn't come to a definite conclusion as to where the 1000 limit is. Personally, I don't really mind as it's not an official thing, but in that case, JP should have his own thread as well.

BTW, did you notice the date on that file (2040)?

Rolf had another identity early on.

Both Rolfs added together exceed 1000.

I could not explain the date either.

Due to technical problems* the next issue of the E-List will be delayed.

Thank you for your patience.

*When opening the code CC sent me I found that it has been upgraded to LV 8 for which I do not have the Enterprise Connectivity stuff installed (for LV 8 no, for LV < 8 yes).  Smiley Mad I really should have anticipated this. If I get my "homework" done I'll try to install the tollkits.

CC a écrit:...For JPD, the case is different ; he registered several times, and the E-List is smart enough to manage is different instances.

Actually, before using the forums I posted to the newsgroup comp.lang.labview using different email addresses. The forum registered these posts as coming from different users.

E-LIST n°10 - 2006

167 / 531 active Enthusiasts.

Last week, the activity leaders have been Dennis Knutson, Becktho and Smercurio. Watch, there are a few new climbers among the 10 most active Enthusiasts...

"Quand le chat n'est pas là, les souris dansent"

Seems that you decided to make some innovative moves while I was abroad. According to the implicit rules that we applied so far, congratulations to Ed Dickens and JPD (953 and 933 replies, respectively), although strongly deserved for the amount and quality of their contributions to this forum, seem to be a little ahead of their time ;). I'll not argue neither for Becktho (999 r), nor for tst (2993 r), since by the time you read this, they should have crossed the limit.
This urgent need for congratulations, after a two month period of calmness, when nobody was stressed by the difficult "HIHATSS" * challenge, is a real surprize !

Some of you may ask why we are going from issue number 6 to number 10. The numbering scheme should follow the year week number, but now, a few issues are lacking. Clearly, the List management tools I transfered to Ben were not sharpened enough, and Ben has been into trouble. My fault. I'm sorry. I hope none of you died from starvation in the meantime !

All this being said, my Indiana Jones trip was again fantastic.

And, just to tease JLV, I met Lara Croft, really. May be I'll tell you more later...

* HIHATSS = Hell, I have again to say something!

A scalpel would not have been sharp enough for me! If I screwed up the rules on when to congratulate I'm sorry, I forget that I had lost that argument over if questions count as contributions.

Welcome back CC!
