Ben, that gleam in your eye suddenly has a whole new meaning. It's scary now... (although that's a teddybear...)

Somewhat back on topic. ChillyCharly, is there a way for your tool to determine the percentage of posts a user has answered in a particular forum? This is most useful in the smaller forums, but could be an interesting view of things?

Yes, Right to left. That way left handed people do not smear the ink as they write.

I suspect the invertor was left handed.

Which reminds me: you said you'd post your code once you clean it up. Has anything happened with that?
Thanks.

Alright - I have to share that I too am a lefty AND I went to the University of Missouri - Rolla where they get days off school to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. Go Miners! I'm proudly wearing my Rolla green today!
Happy St. Pat's!

Well...
I have been abroad for a few days (for work this time...) and I can see that you have been quite active.
Wow ! nearly 40 posts in this thread within 4 days !

Some answers to your questions and remarks :

Becktho : I'll post the next List update in a new thread if everybody thinks it's an appropriate move. Is it necessary to start a pool ? heu sorry ! I mean a

Aaron G : The only info that can be accessed is the content of the windows that your web broser returns when you explore the NI site. So, the answer to your question is YES. That's what is done in the new column "Prefered boards" : get the last 120 posts, and look in which board they were posted, then return, after sorting, the boards concerned by 95 % of the posts. What I could do is to include the actual figures.
The process is rather slow, and even after optimization, the max scan rate is about 1 user/second when I read the "prefered boards" info, compared to 10 users/sec when I just read the replies numbers...

tst : As I said at the beginning of this post, I have been out of reach during the last days (I left soon after posting the List update), and I just jumped out of my plane. You are an impatient person, like most humans belonging to the "sexe faible" (if you don't read french, just ask JLV or tbob...).
Anyway, I think the cleaning operation is now acceptable, but the problem is that I can't post files larger than about 20 ko (there's apparently a time out issue on the NI site, when I post from my home adress). I'll try another method. Stay on the line...
