annoying footer leakage into pdfs.

This is more a site-wide problem than forum specific, but if we download a pdf document of a web page (e.g. this one here) using the prominent pdf link under the title, we get a document where half a page is wasted for a poorly formatted and wrapped site footer with barely readable black text on blue background, wasting a lot of ink and space.

I think the site footer should be excluded from the generated pdf. (... or at least remove the background color but I would prefer to leave it out completely!)
