Why do I get a 33027 error code from all modules on FP-TB-10?

I do not have any electrical interference, and I have checked all connections. I have four analog input modules and one RTD module on the FP-TB-10. When the error occurs, all five modules produce the error. When the system is first energized, the error never surfaces. Only after the system has been active for some time does the error occur. Any ideas?

First, I would recommend that you try to identify which module is causing the problem by removing one dual channel module at a time. When the problem stops, you can assume that the last module you removed was causing the problem. Next, inspect the module to make sure that there are no bent pins, or anything on the pins to prevent proper connection. If the pins are clean and straight, try to clean the FP-TB-10 connectors with a can of compressed air for the possibility that some kind of debris may have fallen in. Shoot short bursts of air into the connector.

If you are still having problems with the FP-TB-10, please contact National Instruments Automation support.

Check for EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference) (This may not be totally obvious).

It has been reported that FP seems somewhat sensative to EMI. A reported occurence of this was as follows:
=============================
"The system uses RLY, AO, and AI modules and periodically reported the following errors:
33027: module unaddressable
33400: all channels bad
33443: some channels bad.

This system would work for a while and then start reporting the above errors. Turns out that some high-voltage relays which were near the FP hardware (which was in an enclosure) would sometime generate enough EMI to give the FP some grief (twice it caused my NT machine to totally hang. Enclosing the relays in their own box and increasing the separation from FP has sol
ved the problem."

Also, what network module are you using. What is the revision of the network module. (You can find out the revision by check the part number on the back and look for the letter at the end, such as A,B,etc).

If the problem persists, then it may be due to a hardware malfunction in terminal block itself. If you think this is the case, call into the Industrial Automation department.
