The TC-120 is typically used for thermocouples (uV or mV signals) or voltage inputs. Does your thermostat output a voltage that corresponds to temperature?
I usually think of a thermostat as just an ON-OFF device (switch). If that is the case, I do not see any benefit to measuring temperature, you will only be able to determine if the temperature is above or below the setpoint that the thermostat is set to.
