How to trigger scope in scan mode

Hello
I have a tektronix TDS2024B and I using GPIB with VB 6.0 and I need to programm the scope to trigger and capture a ramp of

voltage (0-5v) that is generated in an lapsus of 2 seconds...but when I set the time scale more than 100 ms in order to see

the complete voltage ramp on scope screen, the scope enter in SCAN Mode an it does not permit me to set any trigger

 Question:

 is there are any form to set up the scope to always aquire the complete voltage ramp in the same point that it start?

You can create a trigger event using the external trigger channel (EXT TRIG), it would be useful to check trigger:state? Function. Maybe your question about scan mode configuration is more related with scope configuration itself, did you check if setting scope mode to normal instead of auto fixes the problem? We could check as well with Tektronik’s support team since NI only uses this driver for communications with this specific hardware; however, they should know more about specific functions or workarounds about this issue.
