Hello,
I am trying to install a driver for the instrument SR830 via instrument wizard. But the error "some or all of the files for this driver were not found. This driver could not be properly installed" pops up, followed by "error. An error occurred, error code 7".
So I tried to download the driver from the web but the least version it supports is LabVIEW 8.2.1.
Does the error occur because my LabVIEW version is too low?
Is there any way to solve this problem?
Thank you.

Hi Betelgeuse91,
I looked up your device on ni.com/idnet, and I think we may be looking at the same page: http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=240C113D3165071BE0440003BA7CCD.... From what I see, it looks like the earliest version of LabVIEW that’s supported by those drivers is 8.2.1, so if you’re running 5.1.1, that version of the drivers isn’t likely to work.
Do you have access to a newer version of LabVIEW? If you do, that might make your project a lot easier, as you’ll have access to a wider pool of resources to work with.
If you don’t, then you still have a couple of options. You can always reach out to Stanford Research, and see if they have legacy drivers available for the device that reach back further than the ones published on our drivers database. If that doesn’t work, you could make your own drivers using VISA calls
