Current VI's path open explorer.

Status: Declined

Any idea that has not received any kudos within a year after posting will be automatically declined. 

Current VI's Path save folder path,

 

Tool menu "open explorer" -> launch Explorer, and open current VI's path.

 

 addToolMenu_OpenExplorer    actionOpenExplorer

 

 

Attach VI. "openExplorer_LVplugin.vi" is it. Saved LabVIEW 2010.

Download vi, copy to "%LabVIEW Install Folder%\project" folder.

  ex "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 2010\project\"

LabVIEW restart, then add ToolsMenu ( MenuBar >> Tools >> Open Explorer )

Editing Current VI (saved), Open Explorer, then launch Explorer.

I'm not sure why you posted this in the Idea Exchange (this is a place to suggest improvements to LV), but I will point out that there is already a fairly easy way to do this if you're working in a project:

 

  1. Press Ctrl+Shift+E. This will highlight the current VI in the project window.
  2. Right click the VI in the project window and select Explore.

I don't need this very often, so this method is fine for me.
