A simple idea perhaps, but it would accelerate my development time somewhat when working with the Project Tree, would be if we could use keys to select items in the Project Tree right-click menus.
If you right-click a file in Windows Explorer and press "r" it selects the Properties option. It's conveniently located such that my left hand can stay on the keyboard.
Consider the Build Specification Project items. We could have keyboard accelerators for the right-click menu here I'm sure. I'm particularly interested in the Build and Properties options, which are the ones I nearly always need for my Build Specifications (I know that double-clicking it opens Properties, but what about the other menu items?). If you try pressing a key with the LabVIEW Project Tree right click menu open it highlights to the first menu item that begins with that letter but you still need to press Enter which is most of the way across your keyboard. I'd like to see unique keys associated with the menu items to make their selection quick and convenient.
Also consider the lengthy VI and Hardware Target right-click menus, these could surely benefit from accelerator key selections.
Note: This idea was born out of another similar idea from TroyK Ability to Add Keyboard Shortcuts to Custom Right Click Context Menus which is worth a vote too!
