User Events are used for Synchronisation too

Status: New

Based on user feedback this idea is being re-opened for kudos.

Why are User event VIs not present on the "Synchronisation" palette?  Just as Queues, Notifiers and Occurrences, User Events can be used for inter-process communication and as such are pretty much suited to the Synchronisation menu.

In fact Events are perfect for 1 to n synchronisation......

Personally, I mix Notifiers, Queues and Events quite a lot and having them on a common Palette would be great.

I continually make the mistake of looking for Event nodes in that palette.... waaaay more intuitive than "Dialog and User Interface".... I eventually resort to "Quick Drop" to actually find them. 😄

Belated Kudos.

I was about to post the same idea just now, but fortunately I came across this idea. I would kudo this idea - this is not possible however due to the idea's status being Declined.

Darren, may I ask why was idea declined? Would it not be easy to add the Events palette inside the Programming >> Synchronization palette in addition to its current location? Such that the Events subpalette would be found in two locations. It would not be the first palette that is found in two locations.
