center screen on block diagram search item

When a  breakpoint has been inserted in a block diagram, and the vi stops and shows the blow diagram, frequently the breakpoint is on the edge of the screen.  This also occurs when using find/replace to find something in the block diagram, the object found is on the edge of screen, instead of centered on the screen.

It would be nice if the block diagram was centered on the object or breakpoint. 

I guess it is possible this problem is unique to me, possibly because some of the properties of the VI or the options in LabVIEW, and if so, please let me know how I can change it.

Well, this should definitely not happen if the entire code fits inside the diagram window (as it should! ;))

If the code is bigger, I prefer minimal panning to avoid changing the view dramatically with each operation. (I think this is the current behavior.)

Yes, I have some code that does not fit in one screen, but I typically build up and down instead of side to side, probably just because the mouse wheel control.

I usually have the block diagram fill the whole screen, but also have the navagation window and the probe window showing.  With these other windows open, it can be difficult to find the object on the edge.  LabVIEW already shows moves the block diagram to show the object / breakpoint, couldn't it just bring the object in from the edge an inch or two?

This is not necessarilly the same subject, but related:  when the code comes to a breakpoint, the flashing wire is not necessarily the one with the breakpoint, but the breakpoint is shown on the screen - is this correct behavior?

Kudos from me.  I find it eternally frustrating to actually locate the highlighted item when searching if the code window is cluttered.

Saying that good code doesn't have this problem is really kind of missing the point that search is one of THE tools we need when we are presented with code which is NOT nice and tidy.

I agree that it is often difficult to find the highlighted object.  I don't know if we want to say it should be centered, because often the search dialog is in the center, so putting the highlighted object in the center would put it behind the dialog.

I would be happy if there was a big fat arrow pointing at the found item for a second or so to aid in finding the elusive node.
