Access .wmv (Windows Media Video) file from Labview

I would like to access a .wmv (Windows Media Video) file from Labview. I know that is is possible for .avi files, but can it be done for wmv? I need to access the frames individually. I use Labview 7.1 and IMAQ 7.0

I dont know what is your exact application.

if you just want to show video in your program then you can use mindows media player acitveX in your program but if you want to do editing or similar things you must know more about the codec. and then use dll functions to get your job done.
