Sorry. I had done the conversion but forgot the attachment.

Hi,
This is not so much a request for a downconvert as it is a request for info on doing it en masse.
I have a very large project that I decided to bring up to 2010. I did a mass compile and everything worked fine until I hit some vi's that use a custom driver library from Andor, a camera manufacturer. When I run these vi's they run once fine and then crash LabVIEW.
So I want to go back to 2009. I have saved most of the vi's in backups as 2009 but have converted about thirty of them to 2010. Is there a way to do a mass compile back to an earlier version or at least the equivalent of that. Can this be scripted? Open, save as version X, repeat etc.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Dave

First, let me get the "you should be using a source code control system so you wouldn't have this problem" speech out of the way. You should be using a source code control system so you wouldn't have this problem. This would allow you to have a backup of everything.
Now, to your question: you can put all the VIs into a project and then do a Save for Previous Version or you can put all the VIs on the block diagram of a new VI and do a Save for Previous Version.

I hear you loud and clear on the version control. I got pretty sloppy.
Thanks for the great tips. That is just what I was looking for.

Hello all,
While converting a code (with just an event structure) from LV 2009 to 8.2 ,it thown an Error (attached as an Image). Some time back, I saw a post in this forum where they argued that it is not possible to convert the Code from LV 2009 to 8.2 which contains an event structure, also, to do this is to convert it to LV8.6, open in LV.8.6 and convert to 8.2. I tried this and it is worked, but I have to automate this process, so is there any other way to do directly convert from LV 2009 to LV 8.2 ?

Try the attached. There were a number of VIs missing. Some were from Traditional DAQ, so you can just install that. Others were custom VIs which were not in the archive.

AshwiN,
Are you using LV 2009 or LV 2009 service pack 1?
If you can upgrade to SP1 then you won't have a problem back saving to an older version lf LV if you have an event structure.
See LabVIEW 2009 Service Pack 1 Bug Fixes for CAR 183005.
