I have installed Labview 2017 on my pc for evaluation. The install goes fine but upon launching the application does not behave as expected. Clicking on anything in the Welcome to Labview box just makes the windows blink/flash but goes nowhere. If I click off to the side the "Welcome to Windows will disappear but again clicking on a menu like file doesnt do anything.
I have un installed and reinstalled 4 times including using the 64 bit version for one attempt. All have the same outcome.

We need more information.
OS? (looks like Windows 7)
Have you tried LabVIEW 32bit (why did you pick 64 bit????)
Have you tried updating the graphics driver?
What's that overlay adding these weird buttons on the upper right of the window? can you disable that? This is not standard and could interfere.

OS is window 7 64 bit. The first 3 install attempts of LabVIEW were 32 bit. Tried 64 after those didn't work. Same results.
Nvidia GeForce drivers are up to date.
I will disable NVIEW from Nvidia and try. That is the extra buttons you see.
Side note LabVIEW NXG evaluate runs fine

I am curious why this has not been fixed from the nvidia side. They seem to incorporate a list of incompatible applications for which they don't activate the tool, so all they need to do is add LabVIEW to the list. (see e.g. page 10 of the nView manual)
This problem has been known for 5+ years and something needs to be done. I wonder if they are aware of it?
