How to activate Labview window

Hello,

I use Labview 8.2
I want to move forward the Labview front panel on a event.

I try with the function "Application control  _  Invoke mode  _  Front Panel open" but if another front panel is activated (Labview or Windows window), the front panel of my application stays behind.

Do you have a solution?

Best regards
Daniel.

Hi Daniel,

there's a property of the frontpanel 'Is frontmost'. You should use this!
(Open reference to vi, wire reference to property node, select 'Front panel window -> Is Frontmost'.)

Best regards,

Hello,

This Vi indicates if it is forward but doesn't move it.
How to move it forward?

Best regards
Daniel.

Hi Daniel,

you should set the property to 'TRUE', if the vi has to be frontmost 🙂
Best regards,

Yes of course (sorry for this error) but I make a .exe with this VI and launch it in run continously and after open another window (a another Labview application for exemple), the front panel stays hid by this new window.

Could you explain to me?

Best regards

Daniel.

The invoke node only works within the same exe.  Another LabVIEW exe is another process.  Has it own memory space.
Try NI's Windows API Function Utilities (32-bit) for LabVIEW (http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/epd/p/id/4935).
