I am looking for some information on ELAN protocol for Siemens analyzers and also some information on AK protocol for California Analytical Analyzers. Mainly I need a starting point to communicate with these devices for labview.

Hi David,

i've seen this long discussion and.. i'm sure you can help me as you did with others!

I need vis to communicate with Ultramat23, Oxymat 6 and Oxymat 6e.

I've read ELAN specification that's not so simple, and moreover actually i don't dispose of those devices ( i'll be able to try them only during commissioning phase and i am sure that time will be not enough).

Can you help me?

Dear David,

I would also kindly ask you to send me your vis for communicating with Ultramat23 and Oxymat 6. We also have a Calomat 6 but I guess that the key thing is to have a vi that can deal with ELAN commands or parameters.

I am not an electrical engineer but I always thought that there must be a better way how to talk to the Siemens devices without going from digital to analog and back to digital in Labview.

I am sorry. I don't have idea now. I though RS485 of Ultramat 23 is not workable before I see this topic in here. So I don't search on the RS 485 card now. I would like to have a cheap solution for my small project. If you have any idea please share in here.
