Labview and Quadcore CPUs

I have been using Labview for a while and liked the speed upgrade that was achieved by going from a single core chip to a duel core chip (Core 2 Duo).  Will I get further performance gains by going to a Quad core Xeon setup (in the near future 8 core setups) or does Labview, like the majority of applications, acheive peak results with 2 cores/chips.  If it doesn't now, does the future of Labview support multi-core platforms?

It appears that you can gain additional performance, but will need to configure one of the LabVIEW library VIs to maximize performance.

That uncovered a treasure trove of material.  Thanks!
