First step is to check the KnowledgeBase article listed below to see if this is the problem.

Let us know if this takes care of it or not.

Using the Abort button to stop your VI is like using a tree to stop your car. It works, but there may be consequences.08-23-2007 11:14 AM
I downloaded and installed RIO2.3 and now MAX finds the cRIO and I can see the network settings page, yeah!
However, now when I click on "Devices and Interfaces" in MAX it shows a NI-RIO Error of "Error -63040 (kRIOStatusRPCConnectionError):
A connection could not be established to the specified remote device. Ensure that the device is on and accessible over the network, that NI-RIO software is installed, and that the RIO server is running and properly configured."
Sounds like another SW incompatibilty problem?
I have Labview 8.2.1, RIO 2.3, FPGA 8.2 on the host. MAX shows for the remote system;
DataSocket for Labview Real TIme 4.2, Labview Real TIme 7.1, NI-IrDA RT 1.0.1, NI-RIO-RT 1.3.0, NI-Serial RT 2.5.5, NI_VISA 3.3, NI-VISA Server 3.3, NI-Watchdog 2.1.3.
I tried to download Labview Realtime 8.2 but says is sent to users automatically with support and otherwise have to buy it. I need to find our IT guy but I don't see any Real Time sw on our server. I am also not clear on if we actually need the Real TIme module to use the cRIO with FPGA? We bought the FPGA package but it looks like the Real Time is another option?
Thanks,
Bruce

Hi Bruce,
Looks like your running into the following issue. It should just be a simple upgrade of the software on your cRIO controller to get you up and running again.
Post back if you have troubles again.

Steve
