Problem installing software in FPGA

Hello,

I bought a FPGA (9074).

Following the help to get it runing it says i need to install software in it using MAX.

The device was found in MAX, the network configuration is working.

I right clickon "software" in ?"remote systems" to add the basic software to operate the device.

I only get the first option (NI-RIO 3.1.0 minimal, january 2009) , the others are greyed, so it ends up with not many functions in Labview to develop my program, i dont have any serial communication or the PID function for example.

I'm using Labview 8.6.1.

I have the 9263 module (analog output) and its working fine with the 9074.

What do i have to do to be able to install a more complete set of the software besides the minimum?

Re: Problem installing software in FPGA

You should be able to select custom install and just manually choose all the things you want to install.  Also, when you highlight one of the disabled recommended software sets, the right hand pane should describe what is missing.  I would guess you installed newer drivers before installing NI-RIO.  That's not an easy thing to fix, so you should just use the custom installation option.

Hope this helps.

Re: Problem installing software in FPGA

Problem solved, just installed everything again, NI Device Driver last.

Thanks for the reply.
